Darren Garforth Looks Back at Six Nations
Where did it go wrong for England?
It is a shame for England as this was the closest we have come to winning a Grand Slam in the Six Nations since 2003. We have a young side but Stuart Lancaster is doing a great job. I think a bit more experience in the big pressure games will pay dividends in the future. Ireland had some major injuries which is why I think they went downhill after a cracking start against Wales.
As for the Six Nations winners, they came back from this poor start to really deliver where it counted. No one can deny the impressive scoreline against England, regardless of complaints aimed at the referee. Despite the end result, the tournament was good to watch and I was pleased to see Italy doing well & France get the wooden spoon! Looking forward to the Heineken Cup Quarter Finals now. Come on Leicester Tigers!
